Small Business is the Nation's Job Creation Engine -- But You Knew ThatAround here, we remind people all the time that "Small Business is the nation's job-creation engine." Today, there's a great example of what we mean. According to a study released today by the payroll management firm, ADP, the private sector added a net 9,000 jobs in July. While that growth in job surprised most experts, one thing didn't surprise us: Where all those net new jobs are coming from. Here's the key quote from the report: "Growth was also helped by 50,000 jobs added by small businesses. By contrast, large businesses shed 32,000 positions." Does this surprise you?
